Anomic Multimedia:   Live Performance and Digital Technology

About Us

Anomic are committed to the development of artistic work that explores the use of multiple audio visual applications in a live context. We have been producing work since 2009. We have a clear track record of producing high quality large-scale artworks. For three years we specailised in staged performances that used digital technology combined with movement and dance to create contempory, visual productions. Since 2013 we have seen a vast expansion in our video installation work.  We have produced various projects including:

  • An interactive video-mapping installation for ‘LUX Helsinki’(Finland)
  • A interactive video mapping installation series at The Barbican Centre (UK) as part of a 'Digital Weekender'
  • A multimedia Theatre performance for BIPAF (South Korea)
  • A projection mapping event on a 900 year old church at Gravity Fields (UK)
  • A full scale venue mapping for The Common at Glastonbury Festival (UK)
  • A projection mapping artwork to form part of the opening ceremony for the highly acclaimed 'Blood Swept Land and Seas of Red' at The Tower of London (UK)

This experience has equipped us with the confidence and management skills to plan, organize and deliver the digital/technical aspects of a live event efficiently, reliably and in bold and ambitious formats.

Our work attempts to dynamically fuse various media to create spectacular events, to tell exhilarating stories and explore issues that affect contemporary society in the most aurally and visual stimulating way possible.

Using a range of both mainstream and bespoke technologies, we strive to engage contemporary audiences in live performance that is reflective of the high stimulus, fast pasted, multifaceted nature of modern society.

In the world of 3D cinema and television, mobile computing, pervasive and ubiquitous media, Anomic hopes to engage audiences from all aspects of society, to grow audiences for contemporary performance, to encourage participation in contemorary artistic practice and help to protect live performance’s place as a key feature in the cultural landscape.

To do this anomic embraces, rather than opposes the creative potential of the various media that saturate not only performance industries, but so many aspects of our daily lives.
